Educators know today’s youth are crying for a solution and need coaching systems that boost motivation, develop resilience and raise self-esteem so that they become stronger members of the community. The benefits of my mindfulness sessions are emotional, cognitive, interpersonal, professional, and practical – all of which are vital for a child’s educational journey.

There are 24 hours in a day – 8 are spent sleeping, 8 are spent studying/ working. How is your student spending their remaining 8? Students that are particularly stressed, anxious and lack motivation need a platform to combat negative feelings.  AM Hustle helps participants to consciously goal-set and plan their days so that they are in complete control of their success.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

STEP ONE

I start the 30-minute session with some guided meditation and breathing, which helps participants notice what their mind is doing. When you notice what is happening around you, you focus more deeply, and that attention to your own senses will help you improve in diverse areas of your life. 

STEP TWO

I then move onto our gratitudes, asking participants to write down everything they are grateful for in that present moment. This encourages space from negative thoughts and helps us to process our emotions in a private manner, allowing us to get to know ourselves better.

STEP THREE

The next element is their vision and affirmations, thinking about their future and the hurdles they have to cross in order to reach their  goals, without being judged. The non-judgment part means that we simply have an experience without contemplating if the experience is good or bad. By doing this, we develop more self-awareness, emotional balance, and impulse control. It’s about recognising our inner and outer experiences and understanding how they affect our well-being.

STEP FOUR

A short clip or live interview from a well-known member of society follows, and we dive deeper into the points made, with relation to ‘success’ and living in abundance.

STEP FIVE

Finally, the sessions finishes with our daily 5-point ‘action’ list. We always do better when we’re able to pay attention to what we’re doing, right? Improved focus and goals can help you r child achieve at higher levels in all aspects of their life, and I encourage them to include some non-negotiable family time on a daily basis, a physical fitness routine, and an activity that is going to propel them towards reaching your future goals, whether that be 30 minutes of a documentary or tapping into a new podcast related to their dream career.

Young people who practice mindfulness report a greater sense of optimism and well-being, and a reception in rumination, depression, anxiety, stress and anger. These habits will significantly enhance their vision, help them become motivated, and improve their confidence and well-being – if carried out with the right intentions.

Interested?

Although the AM Hustle programme is delivered online, I am able to visit schools and other educational institutes to carry out live sessions for whole school assemblies, selected cohorts or individual students in need of mental health and well-being support. These sessions involves a much more practical approach in which participants explore how they can adopt elements of a growth mindset to overcome personal hurdles, build strong relationships and transform their educational experience with new, healthy habits.
